NEW DELHI: Jet Airways Chairman Naresh Goyal on Thursday vehemently denied any link with the underworld saying all agencies have cleared his airline in this connection and that is why the carrier has been allowed to fly to the US.

London: Deccan Aviation chairman, GR.Gopinath, has said that none of its promoters would sell their stake in Air Deccan to Vijay Mallya’s UB Holdings, should it fail to mop up the required 20 per cent stake from the open market. This assertion puts to rest media speculation that a11.38 per cent stake, held by Air Deccan promoter SL Ladhani and his family, may also be offloaded to UB Holdings.
NEW DELHI/MUMBAI: Amid speculation of a possible acquisition, the top management of low-cost carrier SpiceJet has sent emails to its staff saying none of the promoters are selling any stake and the airline is on way to ramping up operations, including flying to international destinations in 2008.

Kingfisher Airlines, Jet Airways and Paramount Airways are meeting merchant bankers of SpiceJet this week for a possible acquisition, reports Business Standard. According to the paper, investment bankers and company executives from the SpiceJet side will be attending the meeting.
