Apollo to set up medical centre at Hyderabad airport
GMR Infrastructure Ltd has selected Apollo Hospitals for setting up a medical centre inside the passenger terminal building at the new Hyderabad international airport at Shamshabad.
As per the agreement, Apollo Hospitals will set up a medical centre spread over an area of over 300 square meters in Level B of the passenger terminal building and first aid kiosks in the passenger restricted areas, GMR Infrastructure said in a release to BSE.
It will be a 17-bedded medical centre, having facilities such as ultrasound and electro cardiogram and 24-hour emergency dental services.
Apollo Medical Centre will serve as an emergency treatment centre for passengers while on travel or in the airport premises. It will also serve in disaster management during crisis such as explosion, fire, earthquake, plane crash etc. within the airport premises.
The GMR Infrastructure scrip closed 1.37% higher at Rs 767.30 and Apollo Hospital Enterprise share climbed 2.08% to Rs 490.
