NEDUMBASSERY: Jet Airways has commenced its daily direct flights from Kochi to Doha on Friday. The Airport director ACK Nair has inaugurated the service, in the presence of Jet Airways vice-president Hariharan, general manager Ravichandar, emigration superintendent of police VG Babu and Jet Airways Kerala area manager Andrews Parakkal.

With the new launching, Doha will be the fourth destination of Jet Airways from Kochi to Gulf region. Jet Airways flight to Doha will depart from Kochi airport at 10:25 PM.

With the commencement of these new flights, India- Gulf sector would witness large volumes of traffic. Due to the increase in passengers on these sectors, the airline had decided to connect Kochi-Doha with daily direct flights, said Jet Airways chief executive Wolfgang Prock-Schauer.
