SpiceJet to cut down 17 daily flights
NEW DELHI: Low-cost carrier SpiceJet on Wednesday said that the airline is expected to make a total loss of Rs 80-100 crore in the current fiscal, up from Rs 70 crore in the last financial year, due to higher ATF price.
SpiceJet CEO Siddhanta Sharma said the airline will reduce its daily flights to 100 per day down from 117 at present to curtail the losses.
Sharma said the break even point for the airline has also been pushed by one year to March 2010 from the earlier date of March 2009.
