SpiceJet Airlines Awarded by CIO magazine
IDG India’s CIO magazine has recognized SpiceJet Limited as a recipient of 2008 CIO 100 Award. The annual award program recognizes organizations that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT).
This year’s award theme, "The Bold 100", recognizes those executives and organizations who embrace great risk for the sake of great reward.
As the first implementer of Decision Manager, an automated risk management solution, in LCC arena, it has effectively addressed the issue of online fraud. Online payment mechanism for tickets: SpiceJet is the first in the airline industry to implement a Direct Debit solution for the direct purchase of tickets with payment through Net-banking. Most airlines only provide credit card payment through their Web sites.
