SpiceJet Offers Discount Air Fares for Advance Bookings for Summer 2009
SpiceJet reduces its fare for all bookings made for 30 or more days in advance. This will be applicable on all its 119 flights in the new summer schedule across 18 destinations. The reduction/discount is up to Rs.600/- per ticket.
Announcing this in the Capital, Chief Commercial Officer, Samyukth Sridharan said, "SpiceJet now offers the best advanced purchase options for all travelers who plan and book in advance. This is a good time to plan your summer travels. While train reservations are hard to come by, travelers can now instead opt to fly at a comparable fare. They can now spend more time enjoying their holiday rather than spending time on travel."
"We also will like to thank our customers for their continued support that has helped us increase our market share from 7.9% in Sep-08 to 12.4% in Feb-09."
Spicejet currently operates regular flights to Ahemdabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Port Blair, Pune, Srinagar and Varanasi. Spicejet also flies to all popular sectors like Bangalore-Kolkata-Bangalore,Mumbai-Bangalore-Mumbai, Bangalore-Hyderabad-Bangalore, New Delhi-Mumbai-New Delhi, Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Mumbai, New Delhi-Hyderabad-New Delhi, New Delhi-Chennai-New Delhi, Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai, Mumbai-Chennai-Mumbai, Kolkata-Delhi-Kolkata and New Delhi-Goa-New Delhi.

The deal by yatra.com and spice of 55% cash back deal was a bogus one it seems. they coned the customer with this deal….. I booked tickets on the 22nd march 2009 on yatra.com for delhi – bangalore-delhi spice jet. Onward journey dated 27 Mar 2009, Ticket Number DZJ1AW-1. Return journey dated 05 Apr 2009. Ticket Number VJKPLW-1. I have been repeatedly following up with Yatra.com via mails but initially they forwarded me toward Spice jet and then spice jet sent me back to yatra.com. Then on through reading of the terms and conditions I found it was a promo by yatra.com. Then worte to yatra.ccom with a copy of my e-ticket and terms and condition. then i receive a response that the matter has been escalated and it is almost 15 days now there has been no response. I am fully convinced yatra.com has fooled me and is fooling other customers too… I wonder when will transparency come in promos run in India with companies like this coning customers.
I will do all in my will and might and spread word about this bad experience of mine via blogs, orkut and face book etc and will never ever book tickets and will request all my friends and family also the same.
