SpiceJet to fly new routes to take on competition

SpiceJet Airlines PUNE: Low-cost airline SpiceJet is expanding its fleet and focusing on costs to counter competition in a fast-consolidating Indian aviation sector. The airline, which also plans to connect to newer places, will induct a 212-seater Boeing 737-900 ER this month while three more will join its fleet in 2008, said executive chairman Siddhant Sharma. The incident occurred as the duo managed to take in either a match box or a lighter - both of which are banned from being taken on board as they could be used to start a fire.
