SpiceJet Airlines to add new flights
SpiceJet has introduced new flights enhancing connectivity on its existing network. The new flights are scheduled to commence from Oct. 1, 2008 and will offer additional connections between key cities like Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and Coimbatore on a daily basis. MUMBAI: Lufthansa flight LH 756 from Frankfurt, which landed in Mumbai on September 9, was unusually eventful for passengers as well as the cabin crew, who were kept busy throughout the journey by an inebriated passenger.
MUMBAI: Some time next month, a cabin crew member of a low-cost airline will wheel out an in-flight catering cart laden with steaming idli-sambhar or dahi vada or kathi rolls. And the announcement that the meal is on the airline will be the icing on the cake.
NEW DELHI: As the Indian airline industry seemed to be succumbing under high fuel prices, a top airline official on Sunday said another 10 per cent hike in air fares was likely in the near future to enable the carriers maintain their financial bottom line.

IndiGo, the Delhi-based, low-cost carrier, has ended Air Deccan’s five-year reign as the largest low-cost carrier in the industry. The change took place in August, just before full-service carrier Kingfisher Airlines erased the Air Deccan brand.
